I am happy to announce that starting July 1, 2017, I will be joining Blanchard Valley Medical Practices, a division of Blanchard Vallley Health System.  I am moving across the parking lot to 1818 Chapel Dr. Ste C in Findlay, OH.  I and my staff look forward to continuing to serve you as part of the Blanchard Valley Health System team.

What We Do

We see patients on consultations from other physician to assist in the care of difficult to diagnose and difficult to treat infections.  People we see usually have had recurrent problems with common infections or have uncommon infections.  This may include skin infections, heart valve infections, bone and joint infections, HIV, Hepatitis C and others.  Arrangements are made for people needing intravenous antibiotics. This can be done in the home, at a outpatient infusion center or in a nursing home.

Travel Consultations

We do see people without referrals for people who are going to developing nations and need immunizations, prescriptions and education to avoid diarrhea, hepatitis, yellow fever, typhoid fever, malaria, etc.   Based on a person's medical problems, duration of stay and itinerary, customized recommendations are made.  This is a specialty area of medicine called travel medicine or emporiatrics.  Dr. Ratnasamy is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine.  Latest information is gathered from specialty journals, conferences and a subscription website which is updated almost daily.

Immunizations

People needing immunizations only can bring orders for the necessary shots from their primary physician.

Immigration Physicals

People needing immigration physicals can call for appointments.  Dr. Ratnasamy is an approved Civil Surgeon for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.  Required immunizations are provided.  Tuberculosis skin tests are done in the office.  Necessary blood tests can be done in labs near to the office.  Our goal is to provide completed forms back to you within 3-4 days.
